Quantitative Analysis Of Colocalized Regions

Colocalization defines the spatial arrangement of two structures or components when they occupy the same space. By locating common volume elements (voxels) in a 3D data set, the Colocalization module enables quantitative analysis of the degree to which two individually labeled structures overlap.

Segmentation of the colocalized voxels is accomplished with advanced histogram and image analysis techniques. Quantitative analysis is performed on each layer individually, with results displayed as a statistical report or converted to a new 3D image of the colocalized area that can viewed with Imaris.
